Meet our Radiologists

Dr Benjamin Ong graduated from the University of Queensland with First Class Honours and was awarded a University Medal for his studies. He undertook radiology registrar training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital including a Fellowship in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). He is a staff specialist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Dr.Ong’s special interests are Neuroradiology (Brain and Spine) and he is the radiologist for the Brain Tumour, Pituitary, Endocrine and Neuroradiology clinical meetings. He also performs a comprehensive range of CT and Ultrasound guided intervention including musculoskeletal injections, deep organ biopsies, liver transplant biopsy and drainage procedures. Dr. Ong is accredited to perform CT Coronary Angiography and CT Colonography. Dr. Ong is actively involved in research, registrar teaching and registrar supervision.

Dr. Stanley Ngai is a dual qualified Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine Specialist. Dr. Ngai is currently a staff specialist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Dr. Ngai completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland, and undertook his Radiology and Nuclear Medicine training at the Mater Misericordiae Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, The Prince Charles Hospital and Royal Brisbane and Women Hospital in Brisbane. He is the training supervisor and an examiner for Nuclear Medicine registrars at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, and is the Radiologist for the weekly Upper G.I. meeting. Dr. Ngai’s special interest is in Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Cardiac CT and MRI imaging, which he has contributed significantly to the setting up of PET and Cardiac MRI services at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He is accredited to perform CT Coronary Angiography.

Dr. Chris Yu is a dual qualified Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine Specialist. Following graduation from Sydney University, Dr. Yu completed his Radiology and Nuclear Medicine training and fellowship at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Dr. Yu is currently a staff specialist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He is actively involved in academics including registrar teaching and research projects. Dr. Yu’s main interest is in Nuclear Medicine, cross sectional CT and MRI imaging, particularly in Musculoskeletal and Oncology imaging. Dr. Yu is accredited to perform CT Coronary Angiography and CT Colonography.
